Short story collection

Short story collection are a dime a dozen, but the new collection of stories, called Human Resources, published by Tin House Books in April of 2007, is more than just a dime a dozen. It's about eleven dollars for one. Sort of a rip-off on the surface, but once you read these stories, you'll most likely say something to the effect of "Holy jeepers, these stories kick hella ass. I love these hilarious and moving tales!"

But then, you wouldn't want to take our word for it, mainly because there is no "our--" just me, the author. Kevin Canty, however, well known genius author of Winslow in Love and Into the Great Wide Open has described this short story collection with the following generous words:

"Swift, surprising, funny, and in the end unexpectedly moving. Like the work of George Saunders, these stories seem to take place in a world right next door to our own, a world that's brighter, stranger, bolder than ours. I was sorry to see this book end."

And I didn't even offer him any payola!

So if you like George Saunders' short stories, or even if you're just feeling a hankering to read a new short story collection, a very funny collection of stories, by the way, then please check out Human Resources .

And for a limited time only, this short story collection is available directly from the publisher for only $10 (plus $1.50 shipping and handling).
