A recipient of a 2008 Civitella Ranieri Fellowship, his short story, "Disorder Destroyers," was chosen as the Editor's Choice for the Mid American Review's 2006 Sherwood Anderson Award. In February 2008, his story, "Looking at Animals" was awarded the Lytle Fiction Prize for being the best piece of fiction published in 2007 in The Sewanee Review, the nation's oldest literary journal. His story "Nautical Intervention" was optioned for film by the actress, Bebe Neuwirth. Currently at work on the screenplay adaptation of this story for GreeneStreet Films, Josh is also working on a novel. He operates the web site design/management company, WebAha!, and lives in Oceanside, California.
